After completing the work in our walk-in attic, they turned off everything that looks like a light switch - including the one next to the furnace that has the word "FURNACE" written on the switch plate. Fortunately, the house only lost 5 degrees before I realized what had happened and turned the furnace switch back on, so no harm done. Also, lots of insulation was left on the garage floor and the stairway to the walk-in attic. Great Work/Service review of Climate Doctors The Climate Doctors were highly recommended by a neighbor. I was impressed from my first contact with owner Paul Boyd for the estimate. He took the time to explain why I needed a service, and did not try to sell me services I did not need. In fact, I had requested a vent cleaning and he flat out told me I did not need it. He took additional time to give me pointers on items around that house that needed work, but could be done by myself. On the date of service, his two workers showed up right on time. They blew insulation and applied radiant barrier Heat-Block Ultra. They applied copious amounts of insulation and were careful to get in all crevices throughout the attic. The technician who applied the radiant barrier paint did a thorough job and applied evenly, even in tight cracks. They completed their work before their estimated 4 hour completion time. They were careful with my wood floors. Overall, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend their services. Lastly, their pricing was very competitive and actually below another estimate I received. In fact, the first estimate the technician gave me an $850 estimate to install two wind turbines. They pointed out what parts of my home were energy efficient and what areas had problems. They then went through all my problem area and showed me which areas I could fix on my own and what areas I would have to hire a professional. Showed up on time and went through the house to evaluate areas lacking in energy efficiencies. Explained recommendations and provided solutions for the company to do the work or the homeowners. Provided a detailed list of areas in the house where we could improve our energy efficiencies. Owner professionally dressed and documents he presented us professionally done. No high pressure sales tactics used. We had two other companies come out to give us an estimate on insulation and Climate Doctors was the lowest cost by approximately $300 dollars. Still evaluating if we will use their services but they definitely left a favorable impression. |

On Time and efficient. review of Climate Doctors The two techs that made the service call were quite efficient. I received a call at about 12:30 saying that they had finished their previous call early and they requested to arrive at 13:00 instead of the 14:00 appointment time. They arrived at about 12:55 and started a preinspection to determine the number of air vents and returns. They completed the cleaning of the air ducts in about a hour and cleaned up after themselves very well. Fast and on time what is not to like? The price was reasonable and the behavior of the techs was excellent. |

Their rotating brush was raised up and down several times to loosen up the lint and vacuum it up from the bottom of the vent pipe. It appeared the vent pipe was well cleaned out. |

I received some price quotes on the needed improvements. There was no hard sell, I could schedule what I wanted and do it in steps. I set up the radiant barrier and increased blown in insulation for Tuesday. The two man team arrived on time and started to work. The workmen were polite and hard working. One cleaned the vent from below, while the other worked from above. They cleaned the floor and behind the dryer, too. The entire job took less than 30 minutes (I have a one-story house, so it was not a big job). The guys were courteous, respectful of our home, and professional. I felt the price ($79) was quite reasonable. I will definitely use them again (probably on an annual basis) and will not hesitate to recommend your services. |
