We had 5 duct vents more than the coupon covered, so there was an extra charge of $100. Included was a free energy efficiency audit. Member Comments: Paul was pleasant and professional. He and his assistant and technicians were efficient and courteous. He recommended duct sealing (apparently sealing ducts with duct tape is incorrect), more insulation and the installation of radian barrier. We have scheduled the duct sealing and the increased insulation for next week and I'll report how that goes. Very pleased thus far. |

We had them do an air duct cleaning, clean our dryer vent and perform an energy audit. review of Climate Doctors I was really thrilled with the gentleman that showed up to do the air duct cleaning. He did not speak much English and had no company ID other than an out of state driver's license. However, once he and his partner got going, they worked politely and quickly. From reading other reviews of this company, I thought they might show me before and after video of the air duct cleaning process but they did not offer that. They did unscrew all the ducts and clean them with a very high-powered unit which seemed to function like a vacuum cleaner. The gentleman that did the energy audit showed up a little bit after the air duct cleaning guys got started. He was friendly and not pushy. I realize that part of the energy audit process is that the company finds a few things that might need improvement and they also provide the solution for an additional cost; however the energy audit guy was not pushy about those services. He respected the fact that I did not want to spend any additional money that month. He did give me at least 10-15 things to do that cost less than $20 each and would improve our energy usage. He answered all my questions and was helpful. He was also honest in admitting that our house was pretty efficient already and that many of the larger upgrades |

I learned about many different things I can do to make our home more efficient and save money. Paul was honest with me on what I could do myself and with the proposed solution he presented to me. I looked at 2 other companies and did not feel they were providing the best solution. On 2/9/2011 I will be getting my HVAC system sealed and an attic tent installed. Air Duct Cleaning review of Climate Doctors I called Climate Doctors after spending the first night in my house and unable to breathe well. Evidently, the previous owners had a cat, which I am allergic to. In addition, the house is 50+ years old. I spoke to Paul, who was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the type of system his team uses to clean the ducts, as well as explained the rationale behind it. We were able to schedule an appointment for the next day. All of my ducts were cleaned as was the return vent. Member Comments: I could tell an almost immediate difference in the air quality and have had no problems since. His team was efficient and did a great job, and I was impressed that there was practically no dust left behind. Paul also mentioned the used of an electrostatic air filter, which I purchased, and he also did an energy audit on the home. Honest and Quick review of Climate Doctors We had several estimates for our cooling and heating problems. (Couldn't keep cool in summer or warm in winter.) Most claimed we needed a new system and new ducts. A couple of companies claimed we needed all that PLUS new insulation. (Costs ranged from $15,000 to $25,000.) Climate Doctors said it all looked good, we just needed more insulation. Once we committed, it only took around two hours to complete the job. Cost was under $1,300. They charged exactly what they quoted it would cost. It's great to have a comfortable house, without the need for window air conditioners and small heaters. I highly recommend Climate Doctors. |

Climate Doctors review of Climate Doctors This is the second time I've had Climate Doctors clean my dryer vent. I really like that, upon request, they will also get the lint stuck in the lint trap. However, both times I've had to wipe up inside the dryer and the floor from dirt left behind which seems odd since they are running a vacuum system. I will hire them again and appreciate this service. |

Very good job review of Climate Doctors The techs showed up when they said they would- the walked the house counted every vent told me the price and the price did not change. They were very professional and left my house clean or cleaner then it was when they arrived. One side note- and I only mention this so they know - they left one of the doors on the ac unit ajar and it stopped working. I went up and closed it properly and the system kicked off. Our house is clean and I feel that they did an outstanding job. I will use them again. |

Unfortunately their cleaning tool dislodged the exhaust tubing from the interior of the external exhaust port and they did not check it before departing. My wife and I, being seniors, did not have an easy time wrestling the washer/ dryer combo to get at and re-connect the tubing. A small problem for a younger couple, but for us old geezers a real hassle. With that one exception I would have scored a 5. |

Kind, courteous and speedy, they helped not only unclog the dryer vent, but also rescued the three birds from the birds nest blocking the vent. I couldn't have asked for better techs to come to our home. When I told them my 7 month old son fell asleep, they quietly went about their business to ensure the job was done, and didn't disturb the baby. The only draw back this time was our appointment was scheduled for 11 and someone had put it in as PM, so I waited and waited and called only to find out it was off the books because it was showing 11 PM. Radient Barrier, Soffet Vents and Securing Ducts ro Plenum, etc. review of Climate Doctors The crew arrived on time and quickly set up equipment for radiant barrier application. While that was done, the other member of the crew began the replacing old sofit vent covers and cutting new vents. When finished with the vents and barrier, work on the ducts began. From our points of view, the barrier and vents were well done judging from other barriers I have seen and vent placement. It is a bit difficult to judge some of the work since, for instance, one can not see the tops of the vents very easily from inside the attic, nor maintain a complete mental picture of before and after aspects of duct connections. However, all things being equal, the duct work looked good. I would suggest a bit more care in cleanup where sofit vents are installed, for we had to pickup some sofit cutouts and insulation. Also, the garage floor, where attic entry was made, needed a good sweeping. We are pleased to have had the work done and look forward to saving energy. |

Great Company review of Climate Doctors We purchased a duct cleaning deal thru Angies List and were very impressed with both the service and the personal. Yesterday we had an energy audit which was done by the owner and he was fantastic!! Not only did he find out ways for us to cut our energy bills, but did so with no pressure to hire his company to fix the problems and even suggested ways we could some of the work ourselves. We hired Climate Doctors on the spot and not only was it a very fair price we are getting the work done tomorrow! If you are looking for a company to come and give you an energy audit I have to say look no further then Climate Doctors!!!!!! |

Satisfied but could have been better review of Climate Doctors They did a good job. They are professional and courteous. The only thing that they should be doing is to be more cautious about the cleanliness when the are done cleaning the duct. Lots of small debris fell off after the cleaning which should have been properly Vacuumed. Had to spend a lot of time to clean the house. Otherwise would have given 5 stars. |

Vent Cleaning review of Climate Doctors I was so pleased with this company. They were running late because of another job and they called to inform me. The two young men that came out was neatly groomed, professional and knowledgable. I also had my dryer vent clean and he told me I needed to replace the hose because it was no longer coded. He said it would catch on fire quickly. That was something I was glad to know and he had the hose available. I would recommend this company and would use them again. |

We inquired about their pricing and services via Google, and were quickly called by the staff. They clearly explained the costs and we were appreciative that there were no hidden costs or switch-and-bait tactics like we had experienced with another duct cleaning company. The final cost matched the estimate given us at the outset. Will and Darryl were the technicians who came to our home to do the cleaning. Both were friendly, professional, and clear in communicating the process, which included the spraying of a sanitizer throughout our system. They used drop cloths under the returns and vents as they cleaned and left our floors and furniture clean and without any vent debris. We have a healthier, cleaner smelling home. Energy Audit and Duct Cleaning review of Climate Doctors The work was performed under an Angie's List big Deal. Due to an equipment breakdown the duct cleaning had to be rebooked. Climate Doctors did so smoothly. The audit thus was performed first and it went very smoothly. A few areas were pointed out that needed improvement. While somewhat familiar with making a home more energy efficient, having done so for the last three or four homes we lived in, I had not done at least one important thing in the past: make sure ducts are well sealed where they are attached to other ducts, the plenum and vents. Really , I thought that would have been a no brainer, but our current and recently acquired older home needs attention to this important detail in several places. The duct cleaning went well with good cleaning of outlet registers and as far as one can tell observing a the cleaning tool being pushed into a duct. We had 6 return air ducts to be cleaned which had air filters at their entry points and 13 air delivery ducts delivering air into rooms of the house. We had more times to observe cleaning of air delivery ducts than return air ducts. We should have spent our % observation time the other way round.
